Warranties and Refunds

AKA the Legal Stuff

💼 Warranty & Refunds Policy

aka: The “We’re Not Jerks, But Also — Read This” Policy

At Direct Digital, I’m all about being fair, transparent, and doing right by you. I take what I do seriously (even if I don’t always take myself seriously), and I’m here to deliver high-quality, tailored services that genuinely move the needle for your biz.

So here’s how I roll when it comes to warranties and refunds — no legalese, no fluff. Just the real talk.

✅ Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

First up, the important bit:
As a customer, you’re protected by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). That means:

  • You’re entitled to a refund, replacement or compensation if a product or service I provide is not delivered with acceptable care and skill, not fit for purpose, or doesn’t match what was promised.

  • I can’t (and won’t) override those rights. They’re the law.

You can find out more about your rights here.

🙅‍♀️ What You Can’t Get a Refund For

Now here’s the bit where I draw a firm but friendly line in the sand.

I do not offer refunds for:

  • “I just didn’t like it”

  • “I changed my mind”

  • “I thought SEO would work overnight”

  • “I didn’t read the brief but now I want something else”

  • “I had unrealistic expectations I never communicated”

  • “My mate down the pub reckons he could’ve done it cheaper”

All of my services are personalised, done-for-you, and digital. That means once the work is delivered (and often before), time, brainpower, and strategic magic has already been poured in — and it’s not something I can “take back” and reuse.

So, choose carefully. If you’re unsure whether a service is right for you, just ask — I’m more than happy to have a no-pressure chat before we kick off.

🛠 If Something’s Genuinely Not Right

If I’ve messed up, tell me.
I’ll fix it. No drama. No hiding. No ghosting.

If the service:

  • Wasn’t delivered as promised

  • Is missing agreed elements

  • Doesn’t meet the outlined scope or standard

… then I will absolutely take responsibility and work with you to make it right, which may include a remedy, replacement, or refund depending on the situation.

Because that’s what decent humans (and business owners) do.

📬 Got Questions or Concerns?

Let’s talk it out like adults.
Shoot me an email at dorothy {at} directdigital.au and I’ll respond within 2 business days. Pinky promise.

TL;DR Version:

I follow Aussie consumer law to the letter.
I won’t refund because of buyer’s remorse.
If I screw up, I’ll own it.
We’re in this together — fair and square.
